FAQs
Agtonomy-enabled equipment is machinery built by our OEM partners with Agtonomy’s technology integrated to automate tasks in specialty crop operations
Agtonomy partners with leading OEMs, including Kubota and Bobcat, to bring our automation platform to proven equipment in the field. Agtonomy’s software platform is currently available on the Kubota M5N, M5L, and Bobcat CT4045 units, with integration into additional equipment types underway.
Factory-integrated automation means Agtonomy works directly with leading equipment manufacturers to build its technology into equipment during manufacturing, rather than adding it later as a retrofit kit. This combines intelligent automation with proven equipment, backed by established dealer networks, parts, service, and warranty support.
Agtonomy is purpose-built for high-value crops like fruit and nut trees, vineyards, and for ground maintenance. Our technology is already in use in vineyards, orchards, and open landscape settings where precision and labor efficiency matter most. We’re continuing to expand into additional crops and industries, with more capabilities coming soon.
The platform allows operators to plan, monitor, and manage tasks remotely from a single device. It combines GPS guidance, computer vision, and physical AI to automate repetitive fieldwork while providing real-time visibility and control.
Agtonomy supports hundreds of implements for mowing, spraying, tillage, hauling, ground maintenance, and more. Existing implements can be used with Agtonomy-Enabled equipment. Operators can select supported implements from the Agtonomy implement library, with additional options available as compatibility expands.
The Agtonomy platform is built for multi-vehicle operations. From a single app, one operator can plan and dispatch jobs, monitor progress, manage multiple machines and implements, and respond when attention is needed.
Yes. Agtonomy-Enabled equipment can operate autonomously after dark, extending productive hours and giving operations greater flexibility to complete critical work day or night.
No, the platform is designed around the people who operate equipment every day, with no specialized programming knowledge required. Hands-on onboarding and operator training get teams up and running quickly and confidently.
Yes. In California, current regulations require that autonomous agricultural equipment operate only when no employees are present in the immediate area. To stay compliant, operators must take steps to prevent employee access to the zones where autonomous equipment is running and document those measures clearly. For more detailed guidance, visit the California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG).
Agtonomy-Enabled equipment is currently available directly through Agtonomy in California, Washington, Oregon, and select regions of Australia. We're continuing to expand our reach through partnerships with leading equipment manufacturers, bringing automation to more customers and regions.
Yes. We offer flexible options including seasonal rentals, multi-year leases, and purchase programs. These options are designed to give growers and land managers a chance to experience the benefits of automation before making a long-term investment.
All Agtonomy-Enabled equipment comes with ongoing support, including operator training, task planning, remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, software updates, and on-the-ground support.
